How to Convert DVD and Video to Blackberry Storm

First, you should know what video format is BlackBerry Storm supports.

Because DVD has CSS copyright protection, we need a program to rip DVD and convert video for BlackBerry Storm. The tool we use is BlackBerry Converter Suite, it includes two programs:  DVD to BlackBerry Storm Converter  and  BlackBerry Storm Video Converter . This program not only supports BlackBerry Storm, but also BlackBerry Curve, BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry Bold series.

It supports audio and video format as follow: Video:  DVD, ISO, AVI, MPEG,   MKV, MP4, MP4-AVC, M4V, WMV, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, MPG, FLV, ASF, VOB  Audio:  WMA, M4A, MP3, AAC, AC3, WMA   For more info about this BlackBerry Converter Suite, you can refer to  here . And  here is the free download link , about 10.9 MB.    Now, let’s start the guide about converting DVD and Video to BlackBerry Storm.

Step1, Download and install the BlackBerry Storm converter, and then run it.      Step2. Load DVD into the software by clicking “Add DVD file”.    Here we can load three kinds of DVD’s:

1. Real DVD, just put the DVD in your DVD drive and click load DVD, (you can find it by clicking the triangle on the right of ‘load file’ button.)

2. DVD ISO image, you can amount your ISO files in the daemon tools and then load the virtual DVD drive.

3. A DVD folder, sometimes you may store the DVD folder in your hard drive, it appears like “Video_TS” “Audio_TS” folders. You can load it by clicking the “load DVD folders” button.

Step3. Select Profile, Subtitle, Audio, output directory setting  After you load DVD into the software, click the Profile drop-down list to select the proper format according to your BlackBerry Type, this guide is mainly about how to convert DVD and video to BlackBerry Storm, so we select the  “BlackBerry Storm series(*.mp4)”  profile.

Regular DVD movies usually have several subtitles such as English, French, German, etc. You can select one you prefer. You can also delete the subtitle by selecting “No Subtitle”. Selecting Audio is the same. If you want to join all your DVD files into one video file, please select the option named  “Merge into one file” . For more advanced setting, you can open the setting panel by clicking “Setting”.

Step4. Start the conversion  After all things done, you can click the “Start” to begin the conversion; it will take about 30 minutes for converting a regular two hours DVD movie. When the conversion finished, click “find target” to located the converted video on your computer, connect your BlackBerry Storm to computer, and then copy the video to your BlackBerry memory card, that’s all. Then you can enjoy your favorites DVD movies on your BlackBerry Storm.    For converting  video to BlackBerry Storm , you can click “Video to BlackBerry” to run the BlackBerry Movie Converter, the operation steps are similar to DVD to BlackBerry Converter, So I’m not repeat here. But I want to add some tips to the BlackBerry Movie Converter.

1. The Video to BlackBerry Converter supports  batch conversion , so you can add multiple video files at one time.

2. The Video to BlackBerry Converter embeds  powerful video editing functions , you can use it to cut video, trim video, crop video, and you can even add a watermark to the video.

3. The Video to BlackBerry Converter can also help you convert video file to MP3, WMA, AAC, etc audio, so you can set it as your BlackBerry ringtone.

How does a Blackberry Work

How does a blackberry work? Some people may be confused or overwhelmed when it comes to using a blackberry. Other people wonder about how exactly does a blackberry work? Blackberry cellular phones use “Push” technology. The original Blackberry was the first wireless device to boast the new push technology at the time. So now you might be asking what exactly is push technology about?

Push technology lets you automatically download e-mail, news, and other updates instead of having to manually download anything. For instance, if you receive an e-mail on your e-mail account your Blackberry will automatically download the e-mail for you. This is a great convenience since you don’t have to do any work. Push technology is related to RSS feeds. The term RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are used frequently on PCs. Internet users can request to subscribe to RSS feeds from websites. This means that every time a website has new content you will be notified of this new content.

In essence, Blackberry wireless devices make use of these RSS feeds and that is how content is automatically downloaded to your blackberry. Push technology works in context with Blackberry’s own server, known as the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). The Blackberry device continually synchronizes itself with this server in order for it to recognize any change in downloadable content (e.g. e-mail).

At this moment in time Blackberry is the only mobile phone company to offer push technology. Many people involved in the world of business are very fond of Blackberry wireless devices because of being able to access e-mail, internet, and other content. Is a blackberry for you? You decide!

Blackberry Bold Review

Backberry, a phone by any other service wouldn’t smell as sweet. It’s always complicated to rate a Blackberry as the phone is almost entirely defined by the service it depends on. For those who have never experimented with the addiction that is push mail, Blackberry is a whole new world. How then, does the Bold do as an interface the wild world of data on the move? Decked in beautiful chrome and 80’s porno set leather, you might mistake this oversized phone for a dodgy hip flask or try and surround it with a few leather poufs and a dachshund doorstop. This completely retro throwback however, is not unappealing although combined with the phone’s size can be a bit of a shock at first. That said; the handset’s incredible capabilities quickly supersede its outer shell and it becomes clear that despite looking like a laugh out of a museum, this phone is actually a deadly business ninja. What you get in exchange for supersized, 80’s chintz is one of the best screens the cell phone has ever seen, the most tried and tested of QWERTY keyboards and an OS that is so solid and functional that you can open those 10MB TPS reports attached to your boss’s email without even batting an eyelid. After activation, all that is needed is an email address, username and password and Blackberry does the rest. Within minutes mail begins to flow in the exact way that after hours doesn’t. The buck doesn’t stop there though; with the Blackberry service enabled, the phone becomes an incredibly robust GPS, stock ticker, weather station, VOIP tool, gaming device or anything else you heart desires for one fixed cost per month. It should now become evident that Blackberry’s service could make even a rock with EDGE appealing but that doesn’t mean this phone is any less awesome. Endowed with 3G, Wi-Fi and every other mod con the modern business man could ever ask for, the Bold is, to date, the most pleasant way to take your email cellular. Notebooks beware.
